Hair colors for spring

I know I know it’s been a while since I last posted, but in my defense it’s been a busy week: first of all it’s fashion week and although I’m way far away from New York (crying right now) I try to keep an eye on what’s going on!

Also I dyed my hair yesterday! At first I wasn’t pleased with the result, as my hairdresser decided to improvise on my head! But then I checked out the must-try hair colors for 2014 and I realized that he might actually know what he’s doing!! 🙂
This year is mainly all about cold shades of blonde and red. Edgier colors, closer to grey for blondes and bronze for redhaired, longer lengths and more extreme ombrés will definitely play and important role. Darker browns is the safest choice if you don’t want to try something too extreme.

Sephora eye shadows

Having to rush to work everyday and working a lot with kids doesn’t allow me to wear too much makeup. But one thing I can’t give up is my eye shadows. Over the years I have purchased a variety of eyeshadows (as you all have), some expensive and some very cheap. I found out that when it comes to eyeshadows you need to invest. Invest in colors and textures.

All the things I’m looking for in an eyeshadow I found them in Sephora. Great variety in colors and texture and most importantly it stays on no matter what!
I lovveeeeee the brown shades but for a night out I prefer a more playful dark purple or grey. The only disadvantage is the price,as it is quite expensive if you choose to buy each eyeshadow separately and not a palette.

L’Oreal Skin Perfection

Having oily skin I find myself tired all the time maintaining a healthy and clean skin. For me it is also boring having to apply cream after cream after cream..! So what I need is something quick and drastic. My latest attempt was l’oreal’s skin perfection cream. In theory this cream is supposed to minimize the pores of the skin in order to reduce the black spots and control the oiliness of the complexion.

The nail polish issue

As I promised I was testing nail polishes all week! Of course it’s not the first time I’m doing this, but it’s the first time I’m publishing it!
I have to admit that I’m a bit bias when it comes to the things I use in my everyday life and the products that are parts of my comfort zone. Nail polishes are truly one of my tricks for a neat look so the brands I’m using are obviously high in my list. But that doesn’t mean that I don’t appreciate other brands!
Now, what you need to be careful when it comes to nail polish is what you expect from it. For example, would you like a rich color? Should you prefer a mat result? It’s truly a matter of taste, but also a matter of performance: Does the product fit your expectations?
This is exactly what I will be doing for you now. Again, this is just my point of view! So if you have any objections feel free to comment and tell me what you think!!

The youth code

Oily skin, make up, long working hours.. A complete nightmare for my skin but still a daily reality! I have tried many different creams and treatments but none of them had the effects that L’oreal’s youth code kit power trio had! Surprisingly the pores became smaller and my skin looks younger and refreshed, although my schedule is still crazy! I tried the kit for faster results but you can simply add the serum or the day/night cream to your daily routine!
