Hey everyone! Its finally February ( I thought January would never end!!!) and I’ve been keeping my promise so far to post more often. This time I want to share with you the highlight of the previous month: My long weekend trip to Sofia. So if you think about it, I have already fulfill two of my New Years Resolutions, posting and travelling! Lets hope I’ll stick with both for the rest of the year too! 😛
Anyway, I had booked and planned the trips weeks in advance ( You Virgos out there know how we enjoy planning) so we manage to get a 5* Hotel in a pretty good price! We stayed at the Anel Hotel in the center of Sofia, so commuting was quite easy. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, the spa is great and the buffet delicious!!
For those reading me from abroad this name might sound a bit unfamiliar. For Greeks though this couture house has been a synonym to elegance and style for many years. I had the luck to see few runway shows from Celia Kritharioti in Athens over the years and I always like the aesthetic and that chic vibe. Even the brand’s prêt a porter line “5226” has a style you can’t easily ignore.
So the designer’s long dream to show in Paris became a reality last week, when she showed one of her dreamiest collections so far. At Salon Vendome in The Ritz the House showed their collection for SS17 “Les Fleurs du bien” . Using flowers, nature and romance as inspiration Celia created a collection that looked like a fairy tale in the Greek islands. Baby blue, light pink but also bright yellow and white were the main colors of the collection. The designer played with structures, texture and fabrics to create a variety of looks, one better than the other!
Red Carpet season is always an exciting time for me. So many stunning ladies rocking the Red Carpet. Especially this year’s SAG Awards, having that Political flavor, made my day and felt really proud for some of these ladies. Now enough with the Politics, lets see the dresses that stole the spotlight this time!
My hero and one of my favorite celebrities Taraiji P Henson wore a dreamy Reem Acra gown and for me wins in the best dressed category of the evening!
Happy New Year Guys!!!!!
Once again I’m making my lists ( nope, not checking them twice!) with all the things I loved in the year that left and all the things i wish for the year that has come.
I am obviously very thankful for the fact that all my loved ones are well (especially after the terrible year of 2015..)! I’m also soo very happy for your support this year too, thank you so much for your love and your feadback via social media!
I’m also super excited for my job! its been nearly 8 months and i love waking up to work every day ( or night, depends on the shift 😛 ). I have amazing colleagues and I’ve learnt so much this year.
hey guys!! How are you? Enjoying the colder weather?
Today i want to share with you some thoughts on age milestones. For me 30’s was a big shock and for a little while I kinda had the feeling that my life is over! Well obviously things are not that tragic at all, but I had to do some serious thinking and goal setting in order to make my peace with my age.
Unfortunately society has – still – some very specific standards on how a girl’s life should be. I, on the other head, am not fitting in these standards. I don’t want to get married ( although extremely happy and in love with my BO ) or have children, I don’t wish to buy a house and settle down in one place for my entire life and I refuse to dress as a 90’s lawyer just because I’m 30!
It was definitely THE fashion event of the season. The 20th AXDWeek was held in Zappeion Megaron this year, and once the invitation was received I knew it was about to be epic! Amazing venue, great designers, talented and hardworking organizers, gorgeous models and of course a great opportunity to meet up with some super talented greek bloggers! For those following me on Facebook and Instagram you were able to see live (!!) couple of shows too! If you’re not following me though on social (shame, shame, shame..!) here is a small photo album to get you in the mood!
