Beauty products to try this year

Hello darlings!

How is 2019 treating you so far? It’s been raining and snowing in Greece the past week so we haven’t been able to go out much but I spent most of the past few days re-organizing my closet and my beauty cabinet.

Since the first weeks of a New Year is usually the time to plan ahead and make changes for the whole year I decided to share with you some of my favorite beauty products that made the cut and will be essential part of my beauty routine for 2019.

Urban Decay

2018 was the year I became a huge fan of their All nighter line, both the foundation and the setting spray. I love trying new things but I usually stick to the things I know and feel comfortable with. So switching from my beloved Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation to the All Nighter liquid foundation means a lot! The setting spray is also so sooo goo that I can’t live without it!

Everyone loves this brand for their primers and of course I am no exception to this rule. My absolute favorite primer is their pore minimizer which is really amazing! I’ve been using it for 3 years and it is so great! If you haven’t tried it already make sure you add it to your bag for this year. It is a life savior !

This is a brand that needs no introductions. Their makeup brushes and accessories are well known for years and many makeup artists and youtubers swear by their products. It is a bit pricey though so I didn’t have the chance to try many of their brushes out before. Last November I took advantage of the Black Friday sales on Beauty Bay and got myself a bunch of their brushes. I got foundation and eye shadow brushes from the Rose Golden line and contouring and highlighting brushes from them Screen Queen line. Investing in good quality brushes is very essential for a flawless look and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase!

This has been on my wishlist for ages! Zoeva brushes are a must have and favorite for so many beauty gurus and influencers but since it is a bit pricey I had to wait until Black Friday’s sales last November to stock up from Beauty Bay! I must say I can see a huge difference on my makeup just by using the right brushes. If you haven’t tried them yet make sure you put them on your wishlist this year!

Revolution Beauty London

This is one of the two new brands I’ve tried this year for the first time. Youtubers seem to love this brand so I had to give it a try! I got several products from them but my most favorite one is their concealer. It is quite pigmented which is good for me as I want a full coverage from my concealer. Also the price is great!!!

Golden Globe Red Carpet moments

Award season has begun and we couldn’t be more excited about it! Red Carpet moments are the best obviously and E News once again gave us the full Red Carpet experience! Due to the time difference between Europe and the States I had to see it on the reruns few hours later but still! Here are some of my favorite looks!!

Boyfriend’s guide to Xmas presents

Christmas is right around the corner people and as always I will be sharing my gift guide for this year’s holidays. This time though with a little twist, inspired again by personal experience. This time I will only be sharing a quick guide to all the boys who want to get their girlfriend (or mum) a nice gift this Xmas.

Most guys are very simple and straight forward when it comes to presents: Flowers, chocolate and best case scenario jewelry that are either too simple or too extra. Women on the other hand tend to pay a little more attention to detail and plan their gifts days (even weeks) in advance. So for all the guys that are still looking for a present, here’s a quick list with  stylish gifts for your special lady..

1)Von Holzhausen bag

This brand caught my eye recently when  deciding on giving up real leather and embarrassing a more eco-friendly animal -friendly approach. As you all know I fully support brands that care about the environment and of course vegan friendly items are my fav!

2) Perditi  Vici watch

Huge fan right there!! Since I started working with Perditi I discovered how simple it can be to have both affordable and shic jewelry in your wardrobe. Their watches are so elegant!

3) Bite beauty

If your girl is a beauty junkie chances are she already has a Bite lipstick in her list! So go ahead and make her happy!

4) Zara behind the scenes lipstick set

If you’re looking for a more affordable option then this online only set is the right for you! And you now you can’t go wrong with Zara, I’ve never met a girl that doesn’t love it!

5) Ideal of Sweden  phone case

Just got my first cases from them and I love them so much!!! So if your girl is all about glamming up her tech then this is for you!!!

6) Liz Earle cleanse and polish hot cloth cleanser

What can I say about this brand?? Their skincare products are amazing, giving you that spa treatment feeling in every use! Honey, if you’re reading this on your way back from London this Christmas can I get another set please? Just saying..

7) Tyme hair iron

I have thick hair and it is almost impossible to have a perfect hair day without spending an hour. If this is the case for your girl too then she’s gonna love Tyme hair iron! Easy relaxed curls or even straight hair in only minutes!

Zara just launched a Beauty section..

Zara obsession continues babes! Have you noticed any changes on their website? Maybe a new section?

Zara launched on 5th December a brand new (online only) beauty section! So far it only has a lipstick section in a great variety of colors for all kinds of tastes, from the classic nudes to the bold purples! whether you like liquid lipsticks or  you wanna go for a  more classic matte lipstick this is definitely a great time to shop! Zara describes them as  lightweight, non-drying and comfortable on the lips, while delivering full coverage, so what’s not to like about them? For only 9,95 euros you can stock up, or you can go for the “Behind the Scenes” kit, based on the shades used for Zara’s lookbook !

Why Zara is my go-to store for shoes

Hey ladies!

How was your Black Friday shopping this year? I am pretty happy with myself, as I manage to control my urge and sticked to my list (ok, with one extra item..).

As Xmas is right around the corner I had been thinking of getting few pair of shoes and while browsing  I obviously ended up with a huge wishlist from Zara (again..). This keeps happening for various reasons and I’m pretty sure it happens to all of you too!

First of all, Zara is a quite affordable brand but still with pretty good quality items, especially if you compare them to their competitors. Yes, there are couple of leather boots around 100$, but give it a month or so till the next sales and you got yourself a deal!

For experienced shoppers and fashion lovers Zara has also another plus: Many of their designs are high brand inspired. So if you can’t afford the Chloe boots this is a very nice alternative!

Another plus for me is whenever I want to try a certain style but don’t know if I’m gonna like it. Instead of spending hundreds on a pair of shoes just because it is in fashion this year I tend to buy a more affordable pair to check first how happy and comfortable I am with it. This year I ‘m trying out the leopard print booties (If you’re reading my blog you already know I’m not a huge fan of animal prints so I wouldn’t spent a fortune on a pair of shoes I’m gonna wear 3-4 times).

What about you? Any shoes on your Zara wishlist for Holidays?

Get Ready, it’s Black Friday!!!

Hello darlings!

Are you ready for what’s coming? Black Friday is only few hours away and as you have all seen from the beginning of this week there are some crazy deals you can get your hands on!

Like I love to do for every sales I always check the original prices. So make sure you already know the actual value of the items on your wishlist cause one of the tricks that stores do is have “false” tags on their products.

I’ve been checking the brands I love regularly and have formed couple of wishlists on each one so I can notice any price fluctuations.

Also, the best advice is not to be carried away! I know it is soo easy to be tempted by cheap prices and buy so much staff that you don’t really need! So prioritizing is key! On my lists I have items that I actually need and not just “want”: for example I don’t have a black pencil skirt, which is a key piece in a wardrobe and although I have a dozen sweaters on my wishlist I won’t buy more than 3 cause I already have few nice pieces in my closet.

Now for the  fun part!! Here are the top websites I’m gonna be lurking for the sales this Black Friday!  Continue Reading
