Another glamorous night in the otherwise rainy London. In the middle of LFW first class celebrities paraded on the red carpet for BAFTAs last night.
Amazing couture dresses from most of the ladies and elegant suits for some of the most handsome men on earth!
Best film: 12 years a Slave
Such a moving film. Amazing photography and incredible performances. Barkhad Abdi won the leading actor award.
Lupita Nyong’o was also nominated for supporting actress, but lost the award over Jennifer Lawrence for American Hustler.
Gravity was a winner too as it got 6 awards, the most important of which was to Alfonso Cuarón, the film director.
Kate Blanchett won the award for leading actress and in a very emotional speech she dedicated the award to the late actor Philip Seymour Hoffman, who was a personal friend of hers.
The Great Gatsby received 3 awards, but not in any of the leading categories.
So I guess it all comes down to the Oscars now!
And now for the red carpet news! Many amazing looks from last night’s awards. Ladies preferred bright colors despite the weather, as most designers had already suggested in spring fashion week. A variety of classic choices too, always with a pinch of modern.
Here are some of my fav looks!
Hollywood’s favourite couple dressed in suits! Who looks better?
